“Innovative Medical device for the treatment of haemorrhoids based on natural active ingredients (Polyphenols and Chitosan)”
In May, 2021 Poli4Life concluded the activities related to this project, creating the CHITOFEN PROCTOGEL Medical device.
The goal of the project - perfectly achieved - was to create a new product, with peculiar characteristics in the medical sector (especially in proctology).
We have therefore created and analytically tested, in a preparatory way for subsequent marketing, a medical device for topical use for the treatment of haemorrhoids, completely based on natural principles complementary to each other:
• Natural polyphenols, exploited for their exceptional antioxidant properties and the consequent very strong anti-inflammatory and anti-radical power, essential for obtaining a soothing effect on pain;
• Chitosan, exploited both for its strong healing power and for its anti-inflammatory and haemostatic power. Supported by a series of in vitro analyses,which have demonstrated its properties on cells on which inflammation has been induced, the product has given flattering results, and will soon be introduced to the market.
